TOOTH GEMS
ABOUT TOOTH GEMS
Tooth gems are a semi-permanent way to personalise your smile. Every session is fully customisable, allowing you to choose a style that suits you.
Choose from over 50+ styles, including authentic Swarovski crystals, opal gems and 18–24k gold tooth gems. You can also create a unique design using Swarovski crystals, from cherries and hearts to fully blinged-out teeth.
Appointment time: Approximately 15–30 minutes, including consultation, depending on your chosen design.
THE APPLICATION
Tooth gems are applied to the outer surface of the tooth. The application is non-invasive, pain-free and drill-free.
The application process is similar to placing an orthodontic bracket. A combination of dental etch, bonding and composite is used together with an LED light to securely adhere the gem to the tooth.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WILL IT DAMAGE MY TOOTH ENAMEL?
When professionally applied and cared for, the gem is placed on the outer surface of the tooth without drilling into the enamel.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Tooth gems can last a minimum of 1 month and may last up to 1 year or longer depending on your lifestyle, diet and aftercare.
DO YOU OFFER REMOVALS?

TOOTH GEM AFTERCARE
Now that you're gemmed out, let's talk about how to best take care of your sparkling new smile.
- Avoid touching or playing with your tooth gem after application. The adhesive needs time to reach maximum strength.
- Do not eat for the first 1 hour after your tooth gem has been applied.
- Avoid highly acidic drinks for the first 24 hours.
- Stick to soft foods for the first 24 hours and avoid hard or solid foods.
- Avoid brushing your teeth for the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
- Avoid using an electric toothbrush for the first 24–48 hours.
- After 24 hours, continue your normal brushing and flossing routine to prevent plaque build-up around the gem and keep the surrounding enamel clean.
TOOTH GEM REMOVAL
Tooth gems are considered a reversible treatment. If you wish to remove your tooth gem, please visit your dentist or another qualified dental professional.
Professional removal involves safely dislodging the gem and polishing away any remaining adhesive so the tooth surface can return to a smooth finish.
IF YOUR TOOTH GEM FALLS OFF
Tooth gems can occasionally come away from the tooth. What happens afterwards can vary depending on how the gem comes away.
- The gem may fall off and leave some adhesive residue on the tooth. This can happen and should not be picked or scraped at home. A dentist can safely polish away any remaining adhesive.
- The gem may come away completely and leave the tooth clean. In this case, no removal appointment may be necessary.
- A Swarovski crystal may come away while leaving its silver backing and adhesive behind. The backing helps reflect light and create the crystal's sparkling appearance. A dentist or dental professional can safely remove any remaining material.
