LETS TALK TOOTH GEMS

Tooth gems are a semi-permanent way to personalize your smile. Each session is fully customizable! Clients can choose from over 50+ different styles, ranging from authentic Swarovski crystals, opal gems and 18-24k gold tooth gems! Clients can also choose to get a design using Swarovski crystals like cherries, hearts, or even fully blinged out teeth!

Including the consultation, the appointment takes around 15-30 minutes depending on the design.

Tooth gems are applied to the outer surface of the tooth and the application is completely pain-free & drill-less. The application process is similar to the application of an orthodontic bracket. A combination of dental etch, bonding, and composite are used with a LED light to adhere the gem(s) to the tooth.

TOOTH GEMS AFTERCARE

So now that you’re gemmed out, let’s talk about how to best take care of your sparkly, new smile!

• Avoid touching or playing with your tooth gem after application. We know it’s
tempting, but the adhesives need 24 hours to reach maximum strength.

• Please refrain from eating 1 hour after the tooth gem has been applied.

• Avoid consuming highly acidic drinks 24 hours post treatment.

Please stay away from solid foods for the first 24 hours, soft foods only!

• Brushing should be avoided for the first 24 hours to allow the adhesives to fully
cure. It is also recommended to avoid using an electric toothbrush for 24-48 hours post treatment.

• After 24 hours, continue necessary oral hygiene habits such as brushing and
flossing to avoid plaque build up around the gem. This will also prevent the enamel around the gem from yellowing.

Removal
Tooth gems are a non-invasive, reversible treatment. If you wish to remove your tooth gem, please see your dentist or dental professional. The removal process is completed with instruments to dislodge the gem. The surface of the tooth will be buffed to remove any excess adhesive and restore the enamel to it’s smooth, polish-like finish. This process is quick and pain free.We do not recommend removing your tooth gem at home.As tooth gems are foreign objects to our body, there is also a chance that the tooth may reject the gem. Complimentary tooth gem replacements are available if the tooth gem comes away within the first 30 days. When a tooth gem falls off, a majority of things could happen:

• The tooth gem may fall off and leave adhesive residue on the tooth. This is normal and nothing to panic about. Simply make an appointment with a dentist who will safely buff the adhesive away.

• If aftercare instructions are now following, the tooth gem may come away from
the tooth leaving it completely clean. You may see that the adhesives are in tact
and stuck to the gem, leaving no residue on the tooth. If this is the case, a dentist
appointment is not needed.

• The gem may come away from the tooth and leave the silver backing and adhesive behind. This may look peculiar but is nothing to worry about. Swarovski tooth gems have a silver backing behind them which act as a mirror, allowing the light to pass through and shine with a diamond like appearance. This backing can easily and safely be buffed away by a dentist or dental professional.
